THE PRODUCTION UPGRADE YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR
Production consulting and shoot leadership,
built around your project.
For YouTube creators, podcasters, NGOs and expedition teams.
Good ideas fail in production all the time. Wrong crew, chaotic shoots, no editorial direction, wasted days. We've spent 30+ years solving exactly those problems on some of the most complex productions in the world. Now we do it for you.
We've directed inside active volcanoes, produced a 20+ location expedition series across five continents, and delivered landmark science and adventure films for Nat Geo, the BBC, and Disney+. The experience that takes a lifetime to build is what we bring to every project we touch.
Whether you need someone to shape a project from scratch, step in and run a shoot, or help a growing team find its footing, we fit around what you need. Your project, your vision. We just make sure the production is good enough to match it.

What We Offer
Not every project needs a full production company. Sometimes you just need someone who's been there.
Long Form Film · Short Form Content · Podcasts · Animation/VFX · And More

Production Consulting & Advisory
We offer hands-on consulting and advisory support for creators, NGOs and expedition teams at any stage of production. Whether you need a second opinion on a shoot plan, help structuring a series, or an experienced eye on what's going wrong, we step in where it's most useful. Just straight answers from people who've seen it all before.

Shoot Leadership & Field Production
Most production problems are avoidable. The shoot that runs three days over, the crew that pulls in different directions, the story that made sense in development but falls apart on location. These aren't bad luck, they're the kind of things an experienced eye spots weeks before they become a crisis. We work with you before and during your shoot to make sure the production holds together when it matters most.

Story & Editorial
Development
A great idea poorly structured will always underperform. Before a single camera rolls, the story needs to work. We help you shape projects from the ground up, finding the narrative, building the structure and making sure everything you plan to shoot has a clear purpose. Whether it's a YouTube series, a podcast season or a long-form film, we work with you until the story is tight enough to survive contact with production.

Editorial & Post-Production Guidance
The edit is where most stories either come together or fall apart. We can work with you and your editorial team to shape material into something that holds an audience from start to finish. If you're not sure why your cut isn't working, or you need an experienced eye on structure, pacing and clarity, we can help you see what needs to change and how to fix it.

Meet The Team
Two people. Thirty five years of production experience between them. No juniors, no handoffs. When you work with Frontier Films, you work directly with us.

Alongside his film work, Chris is the creator and host of No Ordinary Monday, a story-led interview podcast and YouTube series built around extraordinary working lives. Let's Talk
Every project starts with a conversation.
It doesn't matter where you are in the process. Some people come to us with a rough idea and no idea where to start. Others are mid-production and need experienced help fast. Some just want a second opinion before committing to a direction. We fit around wherever you are and work out from there together.
Tell us a little about what you're working on. We'll take it from there.
